Is it cold on the Window Sill, or is it just me?

Alvarado Street Brewery got its start when co-founder J.C. Hill received a home brew kit from his wife. John soon found himself running a craft beer-centric sandwich shop in San Diego, but eventually came back to central California to start a brew pub in Monterey with his dad, John, in 2014. Alvarado Street Brewery was born. The Hills soon put their brewing company on the map with their hazy IPAs and fruit-forward kettle sours. Now, they’re on the Window Sill.

Any hophead will tell you that it’s the hops that drive a good IPA. In the case of the Cold Pressed—formerly known as the Hop Juice—it is much more driven by the Vermont Ale yeast used in the fermentation process. The yeast adds a peachy, stone-fruit-laden quality to the brew, which perfectly complements the tropical and melon-like notes from the blend of El Dorado, Azzaca and Citra hops. This was a very interesting IPA, and I was a big fan!
