The Window Sill is going very local today!

I recently took my first trip to Stamford, CT’s Lock City Brewing Company, and wow am I glad I did. Along with making excellent beers (everything I tried was delicious), they also have a cool backstory. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Stamford was known as “Lock City,” because of the Yale & Towne Manufacturing Company–innovative producers of locks since 1869. When the company left, so did the nickname, but Lock City Brewing is bringing it back.

For the brewery’s window sill debut, I decided to use the one I thought had the best name of all the ones I tried. The I’m Not Chubby, I’m Session is a session IPA, as you might imagine. Like everything else, this was super tasty, and well balanced with hops and body. It was citrusy and delicious, and the perfect choice to close out my night of drinking. Yum! They even let me borrow a growler for this photo!
