I might not have pumpkin pie on the sill, but today’s beer is close!

Lock City Brewing Company is becoming a staple window sill brewery, and for good reason. I’ll say it to everyone I meet on the streets: Everything I’ve tried from this Connecticut brewery so far has been delicious. Founders Michael Bushnell and Patrick Casicolo are doing some amazing work in Stamford, and I can’t wait to see what they put out next.

The Lock-O-Lantern is one of the best pumpkin ales I’ve ever had. Granted, I’m not a big fan of the big orange squash, but I actually really did like this one. In addition to roasted pumpkin, the Lock-O-Lantern is brewed with ginger, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, graham cracker, vanilla and honey. All those flavors combine for a spicy and full-bodied dark ale that goes perfectly with the fall weather.

There’s plenty more pumpkin ales on Instagram. Check them out!
