The Window Sill is built for beers! What are you built for?

Like many breweries, The Bronx Brewery makes several “pilot” beers aside from their main lineup of brews. I spoke to Patrick from the brewery, who told me that Built For This was one such pilot brew—you can tell Bronx’s because they all use the simple, clean label design on this can—but they was so happy with this pilot brew, that they packaged and shipped a small amount to a very limited amount of stores. Fortune smiled on the Sill, as my lovely wife, Jeannie, happened to find some of these at Trader Joe’s in Westport, CT.

It’s a Northeast IPA made with Idaho 7, Mosaic, Azacca and Loral hops. As Patrick said, “it helps deliver that heavy tropical fruit (mango, orange, pineapple, etc. aroma & taste).” The full body comes from a variety of malts, including wheat malt and oat flakes. If you’re not in the small range of stores that got this tasty brew, don’t worry; it will be released for reals in May!

Big shoutout to Patrick from The Bronx Brewery for all of his help with today’s review!
