I hope you guys are thirsty, because I’m quenching your thirst on the window sill today!

Usually, I’ll talk a little bit about the brewery before I get to the beer review, but I think the SeaQuench Ale is too interesting. Plus, I’m sure there will be other opportunities to talk about Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. It’s called the SeaQuench because the brewing process involves three different beers that are combined sequentially… see what they did there?

They start with a straight up, clean Kolsh. On day 2, when the yeast is robust, they add a gose with sea salt from Maine and black limes (a middle eastern delicacy that’s made by boiling limes in sea water until all the water evaporates). Finally, they top this off with a thread of Berliner weisse with lime juice in it. All of this creates a session-able, low-calorie beer that will really quench your thirst on a hot summer day. It’s no wonder @menshealthmag said it “may be the world’s most thirst-slaying beer.”
