It’s hot again on the East Coast, let’s get another local summer brew on the window sill.
If there’s one thing you should know about Half Full Brewery that I didn’t cover in my Liquid Hoptimism post about week ago, it’s that they put Pounce, their “Brew Dog,” on their staff page. No, “Brew Dog” isn’t a fun title they made up for their Brewmaster or anything. Pounce is an actual dog. Her bio says you should make sure to give her a belly rub if you’re lucky enough to encounter her on a Saturday. So here’s to Pounce, and a fun, laid back local brewery I am proud to represent on the Window Sill today.
As for the Within Reach Peach Wheat Ale, it has quickly become a favorite of my wife’s. Considering she never really liked beer before I came along, it’s pretty impressive that I’ve been instructed to keep our fridge stocked with this beer at all times, if possible. I like this beer too, so I don’t mind at all. The subtle peach flavor combines really well with the light-bodied wheat. It’s not too alcohol heavy either, which makes for a nice, refreshing beer to have when you’re lounging in the back yard on a hot summer day.
