It’s time for another Tree House Trifecta!

What exactly is an amber ale? According to Wikipedia, it’s a term used in Australia, France and North America to describe pale ales brewed with amber malt (sometimes crystal malt). The result is a beautiful copper or brown color, aka amber. Today’s Window Sill brew is a great one from Massachusetts brewing heroes Tree House Brewing Company.

The Ma was originally brewed to honor the life of co-founder Nate Lanier’s grandmother when she passed away in 2013. Despite the somber origin story, the beer itself is delicious. It’s an Imperial Amber Ale with beautiful color, notes of resin, citrus and pine, and a sweet malty base. As Tree House says, drink one of these to honor and reflect on those recently lost.
