We’re doing Stout Season right on the sill today!
If you’ve been visiting the window sill for a while now, you know I hold Evil Twin Brewing in very high regard. To me, the Jesús series has put out some of the best stouts I’ve tasted in my days as a craft beer connoisseur. Overall, there have been over a dozen different adaptations, and I hope Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø keeps on tweaking with the recipe.
The Chili Jesús is—as you may have guessed—a version brewed with chili peppers. The combination of hot peppers and chocolate can be a bit polarizing, but I love it. This beer is so full-bodied and chocolaty, that I can imagine it sticking to my ribs on the way down. Throw in the late kick of heat from the peppers, and this is truly a delightful experience. So good!
