Reaching in for my inner animal instincts for today’s Window Sill beer!

San Francisco’s Fort Point Beer Company was founded by brothers Tyler and Justin Catalana in 2014. It’s located in the historic Presidio—a 1,500-acre park built on a former military post—and housed in the historic Presidio building, which was formerly an Army motor pool. It’s awesome to see a brewery that really represents its city with pride. Hopefully, I’ll get to visit one day.

The Animal IPA is billed as a tropical IPA, and that’s no lie. It’s brewed with Vic Secret, Citra, Simcoe and Eukanot hops. It’s intensely aromatic and bright, but has a solid malt backbone to balance everything out. If you look on their site, this beer is listed under their “Bold” section, and that’s no lie. Give it a shot, it might bring out the animal in you!
