The Window Sill was feeling empty today, so I had to fill the void… with beer!
This weekend my wife and I made a quick stop over to Counter Weight Brewing Company in Hamden, CT. I didn’t stay long, just enough to scope out the tap room and try a few beers (Vulture Culture, Enigma, Slumbering Behemoth and Space Coyote), pick up a couple of glasses (that’s one in this post… it’s hard to see) and a 4-pack of the Void, but I am very much looking forward to my next visit. Nice tap room, with a decent parking situation, and some friendly barkeeps. Very cool!
Although I missed out on a couple of other great cans from Counter Weight, I’m glad I was able to pick up the Void Oatmeal Stout. Despite the weather warming up a bit this weekend, Stout Season is still going strong, and this is a fine addition to the Window Sill. It’s brewed with six different types of malts, creating a rich, creamy, chocolaty beer that really did fill the void! I can’t wait to get my hands on some of Counter Weight’s other cans. This beer is definitely making Connecticut proud!
