Does the window sill have the mettle to handle… the Mettle?

This is one of the last beers from my Trillium Brewing Company haul to make it to the window sill, and wowsers… it was worth the wait. It was originally brewed in 2014 to celebrate Trillium’s first year of operations, and they continue brewing it today to honor those fans who have been with them since the very beginning. It’s brewed with a few hop varieties, and dry-hopped with both Citra and Amarillo hops. It’s definitely one for the hopheads.

When I popped the can open, I was immediately hit with some peachy aromas that knocked my socks off and got me geared up to drink. The taste followed up with some grassy, citrusy hoppy-ness and even some hints of grape juice that were very refreshing and really tasty. The typical Trillium smooth, dry finish stuck around my palate just long enough, too. I can see why this one’s rated so highly by Beer Advocate. Do you have the mettle to hang with the Mettle? Give it a shot and find out.
