Feeling rather devilish on the Window Sill today!

Avery Brewing Company was founded in Colorado in 1993 with the goal of creating “eccentric ales and lagers that defy styles and categories.” So far, everything I’ve had from them definitely fits this description. Did you know their Avery IPA was the first IPA ever packaged in Colorado? Yep, it happened in 1996. Amazing brewery that makes amazing beers. If you’re in Boulder, stop by their taproom!

As I mentioned, Avery loves thinking outside the box while they brew. For the Liliko’I Kepolo, they did just that. It’s a Belgian-style witbier (aka wheat ale) brewed with spices and lots of passion fruit. How much? Well, the name translates roughly from Hawaiian to Passion Fruit Devil, which should tell you all you need to know. It’s juicy, tropical and tart; just like the can says. Tasty!
