Who’s ready for some s’mores on the window sill?

The beer scene in the Pacific Northwest has really established itself in the last decade or so. When Base Camp Brewing Company isn’t making headlines because owner Justin Fay gets arrested for possession of illegal firearms, threatening police and damaging the inside of a police car–like he did in 2016–they’re making pretty OK tasting beer. Hopefully, that stuff is behind them, and they stick to their brewing.

The S’more Stout was pretty decent. It’s big, malty, chocolaty and smooth, like a good stout should be. However, I’m a bit of a psycho when it comes to my stouts. If it’s less than 10%, I’m probably not going to be satisfied. There’s also no marshmallow flavor in this, which was a little disappointing. It’s not a bad beer by any stretch, but it’s not quite my style.

There’s s’more beer on our Instagram, so check it out!
