We’re turning up the sound on the window sill tonight!

Ask any classic rock enthusiast, and they’ll tell you that some of the best classic rock sound comes from the Marshall Model 1974 18-Watt amp, which was originally released in the 1960s. Yes, you can buy more powerful amps, but there’s a reason why the “18-Watter” is worth so much on the vintage market. Fat tone in a small package.

That seems to be the philosophy behind SingleCut Beersmith’s 18-Watt IPA. Yes, you can buy bigger beers. SingleCut itself makes IPAs that have nearly the double ABV. However, sometimes you need a more session-able brew. In order to get that lower ABV, there’s no need to sacrifice the tropical, resiny, hoppy goodness you crave. This beer was great. As SingleCut says, it’s “redefining the session IPA,” and is one of their “proudest accomplishments.” Cheers to that.

There are plenty more session IPAs on our Instagram, so head over there!
