Northampton, Massachusetts’ own Brewmaster Jack was founded by Tyler Guilmette in 2011, and has been putting out quality beers ever since. If you’re wondering why the company name isn’t Brewmaster Tyler, there’s actually a nice little story behind that. When trying to figure out a name for his business, Guilmette researched his family history. It turns out his grandfather, Jack, was a bootlegger during prohibition. That’s the kind of spirit you want when you’re making beer, and so Brewmaster Jack was born.

The Corduroy Cowboy is a seasonal double IPA brewed with Citra and Motueka hops, and topped off with a heaping helping of mango juice to balance out the bitterness. I bought this one because I enjoyed the can art, and the hoppy, mango goodness made it a great gamble.
