Is that a chocolate sombrero on the windowsill, or am I just happy to see you?
Clown Shoes has been around since 2009, when the owners of a liquor store in Lexington, MA lost a competition on BeerAdvocate to name the beer that eventually became known as The Wrath of Pecant. When their suggestion, Clown Shoes, wasn’t chosen, they decided to start their own beer company. The idea started out small, but turned into one of the more unique brands of beer in the country, known for its colorful, imaginative labels and cheeky beer names.

Chocolate Sombrero is a delicious Mexican-style Chocolate Stout made with roasted dark malts, extra chocolate malts, ancho chile peppers and cinnamon. It’s a creamy and delicious south-of-the-border treat. Also, check out the label art! The multi-armed, clown shoes-wearing luchador seems to be an homage to Blue Demon, one of Mexico’s greatest pro wrestlers.
