Looks like a nobleman has graced the window sill this afternoon…

If you were paying attention to my story today, Jeannie and I did a tasting of five selections from Middle Ages Brewing Company in Syracuse, NY. The contestants were the Syracuse Pale Ale, the Impaled Ale, the Swallow Wit, the Beast Bitter and the Duke of Winship.

Although I didn’t particularly love any of the beers I tried, the Duke of Winship, an English style Scotch Porter, appropriately took home the prize. It’s an interesting beer, part scotch ale, part porter, but the name and label are easily the best parts of the brew. I have one Middle Ages beer left in the fridge that I’m saving for another day, and hopefully that one’s better than the ones I had today.

Sorry, Middle Ages Brewing, not the best showing, at least as far as the Window Sill’s opinion goes.
