Feeling pretty peachy keen on the Window Sill today!

According to Wikipedia, a shoutao—aka the longevity peach—is a type of lotus seed bun that mimics the shape and color of a peach. They represent the Peaches of Immortality which, Chinese folk legends say, ripen every few thousand years and grant humans immortality when eaten. If you name your beer after something that give me immortality, I’m in.

The Shoutao from Omnipollo did not grant me the ability to live forever, but it did grant me the ability to enjoy a really tasty—and different—IPA. I couldn’t any information about the hop varieties, but it’s brewed with peach and lactose sugar. Those combine to give it a bit of a thicker mouthfeel and, of course, a peachy and sweet flavor. Another great brew from the gypsy brewery, Omnipollo!
