Keeping it nice and natural on the Window Sill for International Beer Day!

One thing I love about the craft community is the sense of sustainability that many craft breweries bring to their recipes and processes. Portland Maine’s Peak Organic Brewery prides themselves in making “delicious beer using local, artisan and organic ingredients.” Founder Jon Cadoux started as a home brewer in the 90s, and he’s been using organic local ingredients ever since. It turns out that, when you use better ingredients, you end up with better beer. Who knew?

The Juice is a beer I first tried at Gillette Stadium two weeks ago. This week, while back in Boston, I found it at one of the restaurants attached to my hotel. Cadoux named this beer right. Look at that beautiful color. It looks like straight juice! When you pop the can, your nose fills with tangerine and berries. When you take a sip, the hop flavors slap you in the face, but in a good way. Peak used Amarillo, Citra, Simcoe and Azacca to dry hop the crap out of this beer, and the result is very tasty.

Head over to M.J. O’Connor’s Irish Pub to have one of these–and a few other solid craft selections–if you’re in Boston’s Back Bay!

The Juice is loose on our Instagram, so go on and give it a like!
