Another day, another gypsy brew on the window sill!

It’s interesting to think that, not too long ago, gypsy brewing was looked down upon in the industry. These days, more and more are popping up, especially in a city with limited space, like New York. Radiant Pig Craft Beers is based in Manhattan, but does all of its brewing at Thomas Hooker Brewing Company in CT. The brewery was created by avid home brewers Rob Pihl and Laurisa Milici, and produced its first commercial beer in 2013.

Why Radiant Pig? Well, the couple’s favorite artist was Jean-Michel Basquiat, who was known as the “Radiant Child,” and they shared an affinity for pigging out on great food. Just like that, Radiant Pig was born.

If robots can be saved by juicy, hazy unfiltered IPAs, then they’re gonna be just fine. This East Coast IPA has big tropical flavor and a ton of American and Australian hoppy goodness that, as the can says, will “make sure the party just don’t stop.”

Special thanks to an article I read by @joshmbernstein for the information about the origins of Radiant Pig.
