When faced with two roads, take the one less traveled… It leads to Two Roads Week on the window sill!
Although Connecticut might not seem like an exciting place, I love it, and I love our local breweries. This past weekend, I took a trip to Two Roads Brewing Company in Stratford, CT. Although I live about 15 minutes away, I’d never been. I was pretty blown away by the crowd, the tap room and certainly the quality of the beer. I came back with a bunch of beers, so we’ll get into more about the brewery in future posts, but definitely take a trip when you can. Bring food. They don’t mind!

The Henry’s Farm Double Bock is named after the CEO’s great-grandfather Henry Dethlefsen, a South Dakota farmer who would celebrate the coming of each spring by brewing up Henry’s Bock beer. The Two Roads version is a strong, dark amber color, and the taste has a lot of caramel and toffee sweetness, as well as some fruitiness and hops for balance. Very tasty. Go pick some up when you visit!
