We’re definitely having an Opus day on the Window Sill today!
We’ve had Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing Company on the window sill before, but I wanted to highlight their Leitmotif project today. This is a series of experimental and one-time-only kettle sours that the Massachusetts brewery has been putting out since 2016. I was lucky enough to get my hands on Opus 05 (each release is numbered), and I really enjoyed it!
For this one, they used Saison yeast, fresh grapefruit and lime. They also dry hopped it with Citra. It was a really interesting beer. My wife really liked the Opus 5, and she typically doesn’t do sours at all. I found it light and refreshing, and just fruity enough to be super interesting. Here’s hoping I get my hands on more of these as they release.
