Winter is long gone, but we have time for one last snow on the Windowsill.
For the first time, I’m putting a Florida beer on the windowsill. In 2010, Ryan Sentz turned his passion for home brewing into a profession by opening up the Funky Buddha Lounge & Brewery. Now, residents of Boca Raton could get their hookahs, kava, live music, comedy and delicious craft beer all in one place. In 2013, Sentz realized he could not produce enough beer to meet the growing demand for his craft brews, so he teamed with his brother to open the Funky Buddha Brewery in Oakland Park. Today, it’s one of the largest craft breweries in Florida.
The Last Snow Porter is part of Funky Buddha’s Little Buddha Small Batch series. This beer is creamy and teeming with coconut and fresh coffee flavors. As recommended by the bottle, I let it warm up a bit before drinking it, and that brought those flavors out, making for a delicious experience. This beer is only bottled in February and September, so make sure you pick up fresh one this fall!
