Sometimes, after a day of food, booze and football, you need to take it easy, and live a more relaxed life.

Yesterday was a bittersweet day for me. On one hand, the Patriots lost, which I always love. On the other hand, the Eagles won, which I would always hate, if it had ever happened before. At least it was a great game, and the not-as-bad-guys won. Today, I honor the Patriots’ loss with a delicious session IPA from Massachusetts’ own Lord Hobo Brewing. I love this brewery, so I hope they don’t take this personally!

I love a good session IPA. I can chill, have a couple, and still be OK to write up reviews for you guys. I had this one at a Mexican restaurant in Darien, CT called @bodegatacobar. The food was solid, and the craft beer selection was pretty decent, too. The hobo life is dry-hopped with Citra hops. It’s bright and slightly hazy, with great notes of zest and citrus on the nose. The flavor backs up that citrusy goodness, while adding a good amount of hoppy bitterness. Enjoyable beer!
