Hold onto your hats, it’s getting windy on the sill today!

We’ve covered Mikkeller Brewing San Diego before, but did you know it’s a collaboration brewery? Mikkeller owner Mikkel Borg Bjergsø teamed with Peter Zien of San Diego’s storied Alesmith Brewing Company for this one. In fact, Mikkeller SD is housed in the original home of Alesmith, which recently moved to a much bigger facility. If you love good beer, you should love this.

The Windy Hill—one of Mikkeller SD’s core beers—is a New England style IPA brewed with rotating hops. In this case, it’s dry-hopped with Mosaic & Simcoe. The resulting brew is juicy, tropical and citrusy, with a nice crisp finish I had a good time with! Thanks to my brother-in-law, Donald, for this one!
