Kicking off a short Modern Times Week on the sill today!

I’m a bit late to the party on the Luna Park, but a good friend of the Window Sill got me a few cans this week, and I was really excited to try it. This American IPA was brewed once, as a part of Modern Times Beer’s 16oz special release program. The name—I assume because of the brewery’s ties to old timey New York—is inspired by the original Luna Park, an amusement park that opened on Coney Island in 1903.

This beer was definitely a fun ride. Despite not being at the peak of freshness, I really enjoyed it. It’s dank and hazy, loaded with Hallertau Blanc, Simcoe, Mosaic, Motueka and Denali Hops. The flavor profile includes stone fruit, citrus and lots of tropical goodness, with a solid hoppy bitter finish. Really well done by Modern Times, but so is everything they do. Yum!
