Hops: Amarillo, Denali, Citra, Mosaic, El Dorado

I had to spruce the Windowsill up a bit for a very modern brew today!
Oasis Texas Brewing Company was founded in 2014, and it sits at the top of the Oasis Texas development overlooking Lake Travis. The brewery is mostly known for its session beers, and that litigious situation with New Belgium Brewing Company over the trademark of Slow Ride as a beer name. This place is definitely on my list for when I finally visit Austin one day.
You’ll notice that the Mega Modern is not a session beer. Well. I suppose anything could be a session beer, but if your session involves this triple dry-hopped monster double IPA, you might have a problem. Yep. triple dry-hopped. There are actually five varieties of hops in this beer: Amarillo, Denali, Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado. When I say it’s a hop bomb, I am not lying. The flavor is hoppy, too, but also a little sweet. I tasted every bit of the 9.7% ABV, which is OK by me, too.
Thanks to @dawnthegourmand for the Mega Modern Double IPA! She’s a great Insta-friend who really knows her food and drink!
