The window sill is heading back to Vermont for some more quality beer.

This is the second offering from Vermont’s Rock Art Brewery to grace my windowsill. The last was a double IPA, but I decided to take it a little easier today, since I was celebrating baseball’s Opening Day and Wrestlemania 33. One thing my second liaison with Rock Art showed me is that Vermont has really become a hotbed of craft brewing. Although breweries like Alchemist (Heady Topper) or Lawson’s (Sip of Sunshine) might get more publicity, and Long Trail might have more distribution, don’t sleep on the little guys from Morrisville.

The Session IPA is just another quality beer from these guys. Despite the lower alcohol content, this one still packs a punch of citrus, stone fruit and hoppy flavor that I really enjoyed. It’s unfiltered too, making it juicy and hazy, like a good IPA should be. There’s not much else to say. Head up to the Green Mountain State, maybe in a hot air balloon, and visit this brewery. Bring me back some Session IPAs!
