Digging into the archives for a tasty local brew today!

OJ has been paroled onto my window sill before, but that was in a growler. This can was part of Lock City Brewing Co.‘s first run of canning, and according to the owners themselves, something went wrong in the process. This left the carbonation “off” on some of the OJ On Parole cans. That, coupled with the fact that they were about a month old when I got them, led the Lock City folks to give me two 4-packs BOGO style.

I must not have gotten one of the ones that was “off,” because this beer was delightful. I previously wrote that the OJ on Parole was my favorite beer from Lock City, and this can did nothing to change that. It’s juicy and hoppy with some good malt backbone. I can’t wait until they can this again!
